Privacy notice
This notice describes how Black Bear Steel Supply LLC handles information submitted through this website.
What we collect
When you submit a quote request we collect the details you enter: name, email, and optionally phone, company, product, project city/state or ZIP, specifications and quantities, a required-by date, and one optional file (PDF or image, up to 10 MB).
If you arrived from an ad or tagged link, we store the campaign parameters in that link (for example UTM tags and ad click identifiers such as gclid), the first page you landed on and the referring site, alongside your request so we can understand which campaigns lead to enquiries.
To limit abuse, we store a one-way hash derived from your IP address with a timestamp. We do not store your IP address itself.
How we use it
We use your submission to review your requirements, prepare a quote and contact you about it. We do not sell your information.
Storage and access
Submissions and uploaded files are stored in our cloud database and a private file store operated by our hosting provider. They are not publicly accessible and are available only to authorized company personnel through the hosting provider's management tools.
Analytics events
The site can send basic events (such as "quote submitted" or "phone link clicked", with the product type and page) to a tag manager data layer if one is configured. These events do not include your name, email, phone number or message content.
If you choose the "open in your email app" option, your email program sends the message directly to sales@blackbearsteelsupply.net; it is not stored by this website.
Retention and your choices
We keep quote requests for as long as needed for quoting and business records. To ask about, correct or delete your information, contact sales@blackbearsteelsupply.net or (207) 562-2164.
